Beauty trends come and go; we’ve had squiggly eyebrows, coloured brows, and lightning bolt brows. Then there were furry nails and the mermaid look, where beauty fanatics posted selfies of their faces painted in colourful fish scales.
Remember the 100 Layers challenge where vloggers piled on multiple coats of foundation, nail polish, self-tan and goodness know what else in an effort to gain the attention of fans.
Well now a trend has emerged that is truly ridiculous; behold the nose hair extensions trend.
Makeup and beauty accessories are designed to enhance and accentuate the wearer’s features, allowing her or him to conceal flaws like blemishes or remove facial and body hair.
While many will argue that makeup is art and a form of self-expression, some might say that Gret Chen Chen went one step too far when she took fake eyelashes and applied them to her nostrils.

However, the post did spark inspiration in some followers on social media.
Instagramer Davison who describes herself as a ‘model, producer, media pundit’ tried out GretChen Chen’s look. Then she added a little something of her own; lip lashes.
Yeah, because that’s what the look was missing, hair on the lips.
