March 25, 2019

Welcome to our very first Take Five With… where we sit down for a natter with some well-known mums about everything from the highs and lows of motherhood, to what they’d do if they could take off their mum badge of for 24 hours!

First up is best-selling author, director, producer and TV panellist, Caroline Grace Cassidy.  A busy mum of two, when she’s not writing novels, you can find her producing films and popping up on Virgin Media One’s Elaine show where she combines her trademark wit and warmth. Her seventh novel hits shelves on May 29th and we cannot wait.

So why not grab a cuppa and a bicky and Take Five with the amazing Caroline Grace Cassidy. Don’t forget to follow her over on her Instagram for all her latest news and musings.

What are you doing right now?

Right now I am finishing the proof edits on my new novel BRIDE SQUAD RUNAWAY! It’s a co- write with my best pal Lisa C. Carey. She lives in LA now

What’s the best and worst thing about motherhood?

Best thing is the PURE joy you get when you look at your  kids – it’s still mind blowing to me how much love I feel

Worst is trying to juggle the kids and activities and play dates with work!!

What’s your one piece of advice for new mums?

Dump the baby books!!!! Pick ONE person who has brought up kids – like your mam or sister or aunt – ask their advice! There is so much conflicting advice it’s head wrecking!

If you could take off your mum hat for an entire 24 hours, what would you do?

Ooohhhhh …. now let me see … I’d take myself off to a sunny island somewhere – anywhere! I’d bring lots of books and the SPICE GIRLS greatest hits and I’d drink freezing cold wine and just chillax!!

Finally, sum up motherhood in five words?

Amazing. Life changing. Tiring! Challenging. Fulfilling
